Factores de riesgo asociados a problemas de hipertensión arterial en mujeres

Objetivo. Investigar los factores de riesgo asociados a problemas de hipertensión arterial en mujeres embarazadas, mediante una revisión bibliográfica. Metodología. Se realizó una investigación bibliográfica retrospectiva mediante la búsqueda de información en español e inglés, a través de bases de datos como: PudMed, Scielo, Medline, NIH y Elsevier. Resultados. En esta investigación se incluyeron 33 artículos que abordan temas acerca de las definiciones, etiología, clasificación, factores de riesgo y exámenes de laboratorio sobre la hipertensión en el embarazo. Conclusiones. La hipertensión arterial es una patología que afecta a la madre y al feto durante el estado de gestación, posee una tasa de mortalidad del 35% en las madres embarazadas, la HTA al no ser detectada y diagnosticada a tiempo puede generar problemas como hemorragias, desprendimiento precoz de placenta, abortos espontáneos o partos prematuros que pueden desembocar hasta en la muerte tanto de la madre como del feto, esta patología se puede diagnosticar mediante marcadores bioquímicos y exámenes recurrentes de química sanguínea o análisis de orina.
