The circular economy: A path towards sustainability of the banana industry

Abstract

The objective of this article is to provide guidance that serves as a clear guide for those interested in navigating towards a more sustainable future in banana production, where the circular economy is the compass towards a prosperous and environmentally responsible horizon. The research that gave rise to this article is bibliographic, which is a fundamental process for any academic or scientific project. It consists of the search, compilation, organization, analysis and evaluation of information from various sources, such as books, scientific articles, specialized magazines, databases and other printed or digital materials and it is concluded that the implementation of the circular economy in production banana plantation not only represents an opportunity to reduce the environmental impact and improve the efficiency of the value chain, but also opens new business possibilities and generation of green employment. With a collaborative, innovative approach based on the search for sustainable solutions, the banana industry can become an example of leadership in the transition towards a circular economy and a more sustainable future.
