Cervical cancer is currently the second most common cancer in the world, it has been shown that in most cases the human papillomavirus represents an etiological condition necessary for its development. The human papilloma virus is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the world, of which more than 200 strains are known, and of these, 40 strains are the best known high-risk ones, which can cause breast cancer. uterine cervix. Other HPV serotypes have an oncogenetic component, sexually transmitted, which are related to genital cancers. The origin of uterine cervix cancer is related to high-risk human papillomavirus infection. The objective defined for this research is to identify the relationship of the human papilloma virus with uterine cervical cancer. The realization of this research was based on the review of the scientific literature of articles and updated information in a summarized and specific way, using the non-experimental methodology. It was possible to identify that the relationship of the human papilloma virus with the appearance of uterine cervical cancer is closely related to the serotype and, in turn, to its oncogenic potential. Results: Having established what are generally the causes that predispose to the spread of the human papillomavirus and its detection methods, we can determine and conclude that in order to reduce the risk of generating cervical cancer, strategies should be arranged to extend the program on the prevention and detection of the human papilloma virus in time to prevent its spread.
