Development of a prototype for an ice cream parlor with augmented reality and real-time geolocation techniques

This study presents the development of a prototype that integrates augmented reality and real-time geolocation technologies for its application in the context of an ice cream shop. The primary objective is to investigate and confirm the feasibility of these emerging technologies as a foundation for future interactive mobile applications in the gastronomic sector. For the 3D representation of products, Hyper3D was used alongside the unpkg graphics library, enabling the visualization of 3D models of ice cream flavors and types via augmented reality. Simultaneously, a geolocation system was implemented using Leaflet and OSRM, allowing the mapping of the user’s location and the generation of optimal routes to potential points of sale. Data and file management was efficiently handled through the use of Multer. The development process was carried out under the agile Scrum methodology, structured into iterative sprints, facilitating the continuous validation of modules. The prototype demonstrates both the technical and conceptual viability of integrating immersive technologies and geolocation to enhance the user experience in commercial environments, opening opportunities for future implementation on mobile platforms.
