Abstract

Telemedicine has transformed primary care by providing an accessible and efficient way of delivering healthcare remotely. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, its adoption has significantly increased, highlighting its potential to improve accessibility, continuity of care, and operational efficiency. However, it also faces significant challenges, such as technological barriers, data privacy issues, and acceptance by both patients and providers. This article explores recent advancements in telemedicine, examines its benefits, and discusses the challenges it faces for effective integration into daily medical practice. With a balanced perspective, it assesses how telemedicine can continue to evolve to enhance primary care while addressing its current limitations.
