This research aims to analyze and compare financial risk behaviors and levels of financial vulnerability among university students in Coahuila and Nuevo León, considering the influence of the territorial context. Using a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and comparative approach, a 59-item instrument was administered to a total sample of 675 students. The results show adequate technical consistency of the instrument, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.821, and reveal statistically significant differences between the two groups in all variables analyzed. Students residing in Nuevo León exhibit greater coherence between saving, income sufficiency, and financial well-being, although they also report more symptoms of stress. In contrast, students residing in Coahuila report a sense of security derived from saving, while also experiencing challenges with spending control. The study concludes that the territorial context significantly influences the financial management, vulnerability, and financial well-being of young university students.
