Strengthening digital competence for teachers in the area of language and literature through the use of the DeepSeek technological tool

The integration of artificial intelligence in education presents a challenge due to limitations in teachers' digital skills, a situation evidenced at the San Francisco de Asís Educational Unit, where gaps were identified in the knowledge and pedagogical use of tools such as DeepSeek. Given this problem, the general objective of this research was to analyze the strengthening of teachers' digital skills through the use of the DeepSeek technology tool in the Language and Literature subject. Methodologically, the study was developed using a quantitative approach, with a single-group, pre-experimental design, applying a Likert-type questionnaire and post-test to twelve teachers in the subject area. The intervention consisted of a training workshop focused on integrating DeepSeek into planning, text analysis, and academic feedback. The results showed that 91.67% and 100% of the teachers achieved high levels in strengthening their digital skills, in innovative planning, and in improving the teaching-learning process, confirming the effectiveness of the intervention. It is concluded that the pedagogical integration of DeepSeek significantly strengthens teachers' digital competencies. Furthermore, ongoing training in artificial intelligence is a key element for educational innovation.
