The objective of the work was to evaluate the effect of insemination hours on the conception rate in Senepol cattle in a tropical climate. A total of 50 animals were used, with respect to the pregnancy rate a percentage of 86% was obtained, higher pregnancy rates were achieved for Treatment 3 and Treatment 4 with 100% of the total animals used, however, the rate of pregnancy for the control group at the level of the general total of animals was not significant in relation to the window of artificial insemination compared to Treatment 1 and Treatment 2. With respect to the proportion of sex, it was estimated that the highest percentage of males is achieved at from 14 hours of AI with an average of 5.00 (± 5.00) and to obtain a greater number of females it varies between 10 hours of AI with an average of 3.00 (± 1.00) and 14 hours of IA lo with a mean of 5.00 (± 5.00). It is concluded that the artificial insemination time interval improves the conception rate in Senepol cattle in a tropical climate and would not affect the percentage of variations in sex.
