Digital expertise and computer crime

This new information technology that produces so much progress has its negative side, being used by organized crime and drug trafficking networks. The performance of computer experts can be of very effective help for justice, expert reports have always been a hot topic in the meetings that have been held in the Associations of computer professionals. Being a concern the seminars that have been held quite successfully in different cities in these seminars, attendees have always been warned how to prepare a brief for the court of lawyers and mainly to move around that world, sometimes so complicated for outsiders to forensic practice, which are the courts, it is about removing the fear that we always tend to have, especially those from science, when we are faced with the drafting of a written document; to explain the legal aspects of the expert opinion; to introduce us to forensic language; to analyze the need to apply a methodology to the fact of the expert opinion itself; to have an overview of the different domains in which we have to work and, finally, to analyze some practical cases carried out by fellow computer experts who are experts in the field.
