Hyperlipemia associated with human immunodeficiency virus infection
Keywords:
Dyslipidemia; HIV infection; lipids; metabolic disorder and VIH.Abstract
This work was carried out through a systematic review in order to analyze the association between hyperlipidemia and infection by the human immunodeficiency virus. A retrospective descriptive investigation was carried out, with a documentary design through a systematic review. Information sources were selected from web databases, such as Pubmed, BMC, Google Scholar, Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, Science Direct, web pages and Theses, 42 scientific articles were selected for the 2013 to 2022 bibliographic review, in Spanish, English and Portuguese. It was evidenced that the appearance of hyperlipidemia is associated with people taking antiretroviral therapy treatment, and the complications that arise throughout their lives as a patient receiving treatment, causing abnormal levels of triglycerides and cholesterol with versatile changes in low-density lipoproteins and high-density lipoproteins. In conclusion, the theoretical context indicates that, in patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus, they are linked to metabolic alterations and it was shown that the increase in blood lipids is only an alteration of the health complications that cause risks. vascular, coronary and physical.
