Qualitative research and ancestral knowledge
Review article

Qualitative research depends on the researcher's commitment to the data that it collects and analyzes. In this context, efforts to establish or clarify common definitions of 'qualitative research' may conflict with the effective disruption of existing categories and definitions caused by the data-driven approach. In this sense, ancestral knowledge is a practice that has been lost over time, especially in rural and urban areas, so the restoration of ancestral knowledge by empirical and qualitative methods is very necessary. Jan felt that it was possible to restore the knowledge of his ancestors lost for many years. In the context of ancestral knowledge, the term "qualitative" can be considered a disciplinary opportunity, rather than an accurate indication of research practice. Quasi-qualitative research is historically a changing and expanding set of research logics and techniques.
