General aspects of tourism modalities in Latin America and Europe

Abstract

The tourist modality seeks to be the differentiation that defines a specific way of doing tourism in relation to another, defines a singular aspect or condition that motivates the practice of tourism and guides the management organization of a destination or territory to its planning and governance. With the objective of identifying the generalities of the tourist modalities in Latin America and Europe. The research was of documentary design and the type of study is explanatory and bibliographic. The tourist modality seeks to be the differentiation that defines a specific way of doing tourism in relation to another, defines a singular aspect or condition that motivates the practice of tourism. The modalities are sun and beach tourism, ecotourism, rural tourism, urban tourism and adventure tourism. Sustainable tourism, adopted as a development mechanism, depends on their own capacities for decision-making, planning and collective participation based on their realities and needs.
