Asherman syndrome (AS) is an important cause of infertility and alterations in the menstrual pattern. The objective of this review was to evaluate the scientific evidence on the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma in women of childbearing age with Asherman syndrome to prevent the formation of new adhesions, improve fertility and reduce related menstrual symptoms. Scientific articles were collected from databases (PubMed, Google academic, Springer, Wiley online library, Taylor and Francis online, Scopus, Scielo), carried out in women with Asherman syndrome, subjected to the infusion of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). . 27 articles were selected, eight of them are in favor of its use, since they demonstrated improvement in endometrial function, despite not finding statistically significant findings. Meanwhile, six investigations recommend carrying out new trials. In conclusion, the studies analyzed mostly recommend the use of platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of Asherman syndrome, since it decreased recurrences, improved pregnancy rates, and restored the menstrual pattern. Although some of them did not find an obvious benefit, due to the minimal effects observed, this factor should be investigated, since it may be influenced by additional variables.
