The traditional elaboration of the pambamesa and community tourism in llangahua

Abstract

Llangahua belonging to the province of Tungurahua, has knowledge that is jealously preserved among the wisdom of its community, unfortunately people have begun to devalue their identity due to globalization. However, community tourism seeks to revitalize them through the coexistence of experiences between the actors such as the tourist and the host. The research was based on Andean philosophy, which seeks to maintain the balance between man and nature, and the theory of the ontological turn that analyzes reality from intersectionality, interculturality, dialogue of knowledge, and management of power. The methodology was based on the interpretative and critical paradigm through field bibliographic research; with a mixed approach, the qualitative described the pambamesa and characterized community tourism; the quantitative allowed to identify the degree of satisfaction of the tourists who practice knowledge; the design was non-experimental - cross-sectional with a descriptive scope, based on a snowball sampling, the instruments applied were the ATLAS Sheet of Food Heritage and surveys. The results indicate that community tourism under the compliance of the guiding theories will revitalize the knowledge of a receiving community and include the pambamesa within its offer.
