Cognitive development of children from 4 to 5 years of Cunchibamba parish – Ambato

Childhood is characterized by being a priority process, with a high degree of brain plasticity, being essential to provide adequate conditions to establish brain functions, if the process is interrupted by environmental, psychological, social and cultural factors, it evidences the appearance of possible affectations or delay in their development, deteriorating the quality of life of the child population. Quantitative study, which allowed analyzing cognitive development in order to promote it through the use of early stimulation techniques in a population of 25 infants, cared for in the Cunchibamba parish, chosen by inclusion and exclusion criteria. An evaluation test was obtained for the collection of information and the baseline of cognitive development was established. The results of this alert show that the frequency of cognitive development is 36%, concluding the importance of developing an early stimulation guide, contributing not only to good cognitive development but also to all areas: motor, language and social.
