Abstract

Poultry production is diminished by the presence of infectious and parasitic diseases. The purpose of this study is to create a database where diseases such as Coccidiosis and Lymphadenitis are identified, which affect the production of guinea pigs. The variables used are sex, macroscopic alterations compatible with coccidiosis and lymphadenitis and place of origin, 358 animals were used, laboratory analyzes were carried out with bacterial cultures. For the statistical design, Pearson's chi-square was used, a pattern of morphological findings found in guinea pigs that tested positive for lymphadenitis was established, finding 100% abscesses in cervical lymph nodes and less frequently presence of hyperemia, exudates in lungs with 45,45 %. The morphological findings found in guinea pigs positive for coccidiosis edematous intestine, hyperemia, petechiae in 100% and less frequently in 50% hepatomegaly with focal necrosis where the Eimeria oocysts are found. The animals acquired by the slaughterhouse are males. There is a slight rise in the presence of males with 55.03%, while in females it is 44.97%. The origin of animals for the Llerena slaughter company are local producers, such as Huachi Grande, Quisapincha, Tisaleo and Cevallos.
