Abstract

In this article, a methodological framework is proposed for the optimal planning of a distributed microgrid (DER), which serves as an alternate and emergent electrical system in the Pucayacu parish, considered as an isolated network taking into account the energy resources of the sector as systems. photovoltaic (PV), run-of-the-river hydraulic microgeneration (MH) systems, BESS battery storage system and a thermal generation (GT) system. The methodology considers a formulation of a linear problem and a comparative analysis with the formulation of a mixed integer problem (MIOP) for which the evaluation of energy resources and the load profile necessary to cover the demand, the evaluation is carried out in an annual study. Pucayacu is a parish near the banks of the Quindigua river that due to its geographical location suffers from a shortage of electricity, a high cost in repairing the electrical system. For the planning of the DER, a comparative analysis was established between a linear problem and a linear problem of mixed integers, giving me the best results with an investment of $149,320, an operating cost of $214.23, estimating a consumption of 233.33 liters of diesel with an emanation of 0.93 tons of CO2. The methodology can be applied in isolated scenarios for the use of its renewable resources that serve as an emerging system and can work throughout the year.
