Information and communication technologies in the teaching of mathematics in basic level students

The research, based on the learning of mathematics through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for the improvement of academic performance, starts from the conception that involves the constant academic updating of both students and teaching staff, since technology is an engine that allows the development of great experiences that, taken advantage of in a timely manner, allow to expand the educational spectrum. The methodology used for the research was non-experimental descriptive cross-sectional, in the same way, the sample corresponds to the basic education students of the Alfredo Pérez Guerrero Educational Unit of the Guano canton, to whom the survey was applied as an evaluation instrument where the need to know digital tools that are included in the training is highlighted and in the same way, that mathematics is analyzed with the use of games or recreational activities in general, these strategies can be considered as an input to improve academic performance and enhance learning. With this, it is necessary to plan and include the use of ICT in the academic development of students in general, since it constitutes a key element in training at any scale.
